The deadline for the call for proposals for the 14th BIEN-Congress has ended. The congress will take place in Munich from September 14th to 16th, 2012. All in all, 174 papers and proposals have been submitted. They will be evaluated shortly and we are looking forward to an exciting program.

145 papers and proposals have been submitted so far. The deadline for the call for proposals for the 14. BIEN-Congress has been extended to May 6 2012. The conference will take place in Munich on September 14. to 16. 2012. We still invite all interested groups and individuals, both advocates and critics of Basic Income, to submit abstracts for presentations, workshops, and posters of up to 300 words through the congress website. Abstracts for alternative forms of contributions are also welcome. We are looking forward to your submission!

Min Geum from South Korea has commited to be keynote speaker's conference attendance. Min Geum studied law in Seoul and Göttingen. He was candidate of the Socialist Party for president in South Korea in 2007. Min Geum founded the Basic Income Korean Network (BIKN) and is Chairman of the Council of BIKN. He is particularly concerned with the issue of "basic income from the Republican point of view."

Mylondo Baptiste, a French philosopher and political scientist is the first of the requested keynote speaker, who has confirmed his participation at 14.BIEN Congress. Mylondo is the founder of the nonprofit association "Conso-age" for fair trade and sustainable consumption and is active in both the basic income as well as in the scene Decroissance movement.
